Washington Flat
One-Bedroom to Two-Bedroom Transformation
MILAN, WASHINGTON DISTRICT
What was once a spacious one-bedroom flat has undergone a complete transformation, evolving into a harmonious and practical urban living space. The original layout, characterized by a long corridor typical of many buildings in Milan from the 1960s and 1970s, was entirely reimagined, with the living area now serving as the vibrant heart of the home.
The standout feature of the design is the stunning floor-to-ceiling Crittall doors, which seamlessly connect the living area to the kitchen. These elegant glass doors not only enhance the flow of natural light but also provide the flexibility to create either an open-plan space or a more intimate setting.

The interior moodboard is consistent throughout, with pale grey tones in the kitchen and bespoke furniture in the bedrooms. The same beautiful tiles used on the bathroom walls were intentionally chosen as the kitchen backsplash, creating a cohesive design element. Striking contrasts are provided by black taps, metal doors, and dark grey tables and chairs. With professional tenants in mind, the flat also includes dedicated desk spaces in each bedroom, perfectly catering to the growing trend of working from home.
