This charming cottage, just steps away from the bustling high street, has been meticulously transformed to suit the lifestyle of its retired owners. Formerly a small coach house, it now stands as an enchanting home nestled among tall buildings, featuring a stylish roof extension and a spacious terrace.
In their retirement, the owners desired a generous open-plan living area, ideal for entertaining and family gatherings. To achieve this, we added a roof extension with a green roof, clad in black zinc standing seams, which created a new bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and freed up valuable space on the ground floor.

A standout feature of the home is the open-riser metal staircase with a glass balustrade, whose airy design allows natural light to flood in from the expansive glass roof above the kitchen, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the space. The bedroom, located within the extension, boasts large bi-folding doors that open fully onto the terrace, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
