This terraced house situated in Queen’s Park is ready for new life. In 2017, the client came to us with an unique and exciting brief. She wanted to refurbish the first floor and add a brand new roof terrace, creating an intimate relationship with the London skyline and the Paddington Old Cemetery.

Transforming the existing, inaccessible flat roof into a much needed open-air living space wasn’t the only challenge to face. In fact previously a planning application for a roof terrace was refused.

We started from scratch with a different approach, our intent was to be discreet without giving up a contemporary design. Instead of going low-key we linked the two floors by adding a new volume and staircase that will bring tons of natural light inside the flat and a quite dramatic sense of space.

We are delighted to preview our first terrace!
